Get your Food Safety Supervisor training online

As of December 2022, all Australian businesses that serve food must have at least one Food Safety Supervisor on their premises at all times. This is legislated in the Food Standards Code under Standard 3.2.2A.

Yes, the Food Safety Supervisor course is delivered fully online and accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For most students, the online course component takes between 6 and 8 hours to complete. This includes the online lessons, multiple choice quizzes and case studies. The Observer Report can take a couple of hours more. It's not unusual for students to enrol and complete the course on the same day.

However, everyone learns at a different pace and you don't have to do the entire course all in one go. You can do as little or as much as you'd like in any one session, and log on and log off as many times as you like. You'll have up to 12 months to complete the course.

When we've assessed you as competent, we'll send you an email to let you know that you've passed, as well as an email copy of your Statement of Attainment.

If you have selected the option for New South Wales, a digital NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate will be emailed with your Statement of Attainment. Your paper NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate (if applicable) will be sent in the post between 3 and 7 business days from the successful completion of the course and assessment.
